- The Apple II world's yearly Mecca will again this year be held on the
campus of Avila University in Kansas City, KS from July 22nd thru the
27th.  This not-to-be-missed event is a must for every Apple II user!

- Call-A.P.P.L.E. will host a website for NIBBLE products.  The site,
located at http://www.microsparc.com/ will be devoted to the books and
other products Nibble is making available again to the Apple II community.

- Version 1.2 of SAFE has been released by Ewen Wannop. This FTP module
runs within the IIGS Spectrum telecommunications program.  Information
regarding the changes to the program as well as downloading instructions
can be found at http://www.ewannop.btinternet.co.uk/

- Long before the Apple //c came on the market, the Osbourne portable
computer was in use.  Reuters News service reported on March 25th that Mr.
Osbourne, the inventor of this first commercially available portable
computer died at the age of 64 in India.

- Andy McFadden has announced the release of a new product which will
allow Apple II users to manipulate A2 files from within a MicroSoft
Windows environment.  This shareware product handles the wide range of
Apple II file formats as well as disk images, and will also allow the user
to view super-hi-res images.  More information, including shareware

- Besides having a good time at Avila University, Kfest attendees will be
eligible for a 10% discount off the current selling price of the highly
successful CompactFlash for Apple II interface card.  More information on

- In a move designed to shock the Apple II community, an attempt has been
made to use a //e case as a housing for an IBM Pentium II motherboard.
